I invited my crush over my friends house since I was over there and we all played video games. He had to leave kind of early to hang out with his guy friends. Before he left I gave him a hug. After he left he texted me and said "Thanks for inviting me:)"

Does that mean anything?

And also, what does it mean when guys use smiley faces? This guy only does sometimes.

He accepted your invite and made time to hang out with you before his plans to hang out with his guy friends. He's interested! Since he texted you shortly after he's trying to show you that he cares and wanted to express his gratitude.

Using smiley faces could mean something, but it's just a way to express feelings and emotions...However, if you notice he uses them after you two hang out it's probably a sign! Can't be certain though.
