Why would he ask to hang out then not acknowledge me the next day at gym?

Usually I’ll block him out cause I wanna work out but I will always say hi once at some point and acknowledge him for sure at some point and if I failed to do so I’d text him right after it but this time I wanted to let him take the lead and NOTHING from his side.

Could it be because he drunk texted me admitting to watching me working and liking what he sees, maybe he’s embarrassed? We laughed it off and I reassured him I still wanna hang out etc on message. He did look at me a couple times but overall he seemed disinterested which is weird cause he asked to hang out with me 2 days ago
