That never really happens, though I do it to girls all the time. I assume girls don’t do it because they don’t want to give guys the impression they are interested.

One of my best friends out of the blue asks me if their is anything I need help with or want to talk about a few times a year and it is genuine. Wanting to help a friend because you care and not out of obligation is a good feeling.
