I told one of my friends at work that I like him but he doesn’t want to date in the office which is understandable. He’s in my grad cohort at work for context. He said we can still be friends

So that was fine but then I saw him a few days later for drinks and he ignored me and didn’t say hi or bye.

So I messaged him if we were good and if we could have a chat and he said what makes u think we aren’t lol Ty for your concern.

Would there be a chance for us to be friends again or he feels to awkard or it’s a matter of time to wait

He knows you see him romantically now, no taking that back, and kudos to you for being honest with him, but since he doesn't see you the same way, he doesn't want to be as "friendly" as before with you, because it reminds him of how you see him sexually and it makes him uncomfortable. But he also knows that this is a ridiculous way to feel, so he will tell you everything is alright.
