Why are high school boys so shallow?

They go for the prettiest girl at school and only care about looks and a girl’s body

Because of this thing called hormones. Boys at that age can't control hormones. So, they tend to become a slave to them. It's actually a hard time for a young boy that feels disgusted by his own behavior (like I did). It was a very depressing time for me because I didn't want to be known as the perverted boy with disturbing urges. I kept all my struggling a secret. I'm obviously better now and not in a dark place anymore. But it was a time that made me feel like there was no light at the end of the tunnel and I wouldn't be able to change. So please oh please oh please put up with these boys FOR NOW. It will get better and some of them will grow up and mature. I understand your current frustration, but it's tough on everybody.

So kids in general and specifically teenagers are all very self centered and shallow. But they grow up eventually, some faster than others.

I mean its all par for the courses, every body living has ask or wonder about this question.

As a teenager I'd see really great girls with guys I know were biggest losers, creeps and out right jerks. And ask myself what heck is she doing with him.

Its just way it is, by the time you get into your early 20s things even out.

It's the age darling. I wish I can say people grow out of it. But it's all due to ones spiritual development. You're too young to concern yourself with such things.

Yes high school boys do go after the prettier girls. They are usually the easiest to get in bed with. The boys jump from girl to girl just for sex. You should be happy they are not using you for sex then dumping you for the next one. They will eventually change and start looking for a relationship.

Sorry, that's just how they are. I think it's biological. I wish I had more encouraging news to share. ... Well, I do, actually; and it's this: most of them grow out of it as they get older. (But don't expect them to change much while still in high school.)

They're likely not mature enough with short attention spans and they're only after something quick before moving on. If you feel that way about them, I wouldn't have anything to do with them in my opinion.

Of course, being rude is a turn off in general. And like you I don’t need a models body. In fact often if they have a good personality that can make me think they look better over time. If they are rude and cruel then they appear ugly. If they are not curious about life and just want to take all the time and not give it gets old
