My one co-worker tried his best when he called 30 years old me old with our 44 years old female co-worker right next to us. He tried things like "around 40 you start getting sexy" 🙄
I definitely agree with that eye-roll emoji!
yeah I believed him when he said he'd often forget that she's 44 years old already. I'd rather guess her at least 10 years younger. But on the other hand one might first think of it as an individual thing when they say "you're getting old".
Guys like to smack talk as banter, sometimes it goes to far and while its understandable it's not okay, let them know that it bothers you and if they don't try to be better then cut them out.
Thanks 🙏🏼
To make themselves feel better when they see themselves hurting someone, shifting the blame on the other party. "Not my fault, you just didn't get the joke". It's quite immature.
I completely agree! Thank you for your answer!
Because you lack a sense of humor. They were teasing you or screwing around and you got all dramatic.
Oh, get over YourSelf... beating and feeding upon others' Error. Parasite-go back to your cave and suck upon the walls.
Taking your frustrations out on others will only bring temporary relief. And it'll breed more frustration in others.
Maybe he was, or maybe he's trying to get away with being rude. It's hard to day without knowing the context, what was said, tone, body language, etc.
Never mind, if you can’t answer a non specific question regarding why a guy will say something offensive, and rather than saying sorry, he just says “what? I was only joking”
They're trying to cover their ass because they said something stupid.
Yep, that sounds about right!
Some women are literalists and are easily offended by everything said. Anything ambiguous will always be interpreted negatively or an attack against them.
When a guy says something obviously hurtful, he meant it. "only joking" is a dodge.
Same reason why girls say things like, they were “only joking” and "suck it up and be a man" whenever they say something hurtful
Becoz they stupid.
I only hurt anyone in defense. And I never get personal in arguments.
Good philosophy to have.
In my opinion, they aren't joking.
I would say that is a fair bet! It only became a “JOKE” when he realized that someone was offended. Thanks for your taking the time to post your opinion.
You are very welcome.😊
😘💋
Because we were joking and some women take everything too serious.
Because they are not very nice guys.
Yeah, not being nice would definitely cause them to not behave in a nice way.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help answer my question.
Because men are stupid.
Eh? Only some of them
Girl you really think I was talking about every man on earth?
Okay, so I’ll definitely remember never to communicate with you casually again! (Officious and bureaucratic it is!)
Good 😊
Because they probably didn't intend for it to be hurtful
Probably because they regret what they said. Like a lot of guys, I tend to speak before thinking.
Because they are idiots. You are hanging around with the wrong guys.
I don’t hang around guys like that. I mostly see it here on GaG. But I have seen it in person, it was a friend of a friend of my mom!
Because they suck ass at telling jokes.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
To cover their asses
Damn straight!
Because they are just like you. When they make a mistake, they want to minimize it.
You clearly don’t know me, because when I make a mistake, I first own up to it, then I do whatever is required to make it right!
That make you exceptional because most people will not admit that they made a mistake.
I’m going to have to disagree with you on this, it has nothing to do with gender, this is a character issue. Being open and honest and admitting that you made a mistake, is nothing more than being a person of good character… penises and vaginas don’t even energy the equation. However, I THANK YOU so much, for your answer, and the polite way to spoke to me was very much appreciated, clearly you are a man with good character, and I am glad we met.
Just a lame excuse. Just like cuck*ld apology notes from celebrities whenever they are caught using unsolicited slurs or dating kids
they want more friends/fans to back up for them. James Charles and Morgan Wallen did the same thing, as did even R. Kelly
I’m sorry, perhaps I wasn’t clear, my question was regarding people who say hurtful things, then (instead of merely apologizing) they pretend it was a joke! My question did not in anyway relate to child abuse, child rape, nor celebrities.
Cuz they’re stupid
Well, certainly that behavior was, yes! Thanks for answering my question, sweetie.
What did they say or he?
Something offensive, nothing specific.
Could mean a lot of things. Mostly the common denominator in each is that they are a dick
Agreed!
To avoid accountability for whatever they say
No , i once did that to reach my point
Who say this? I don't.
You look cartoon in your profile pic and I'm not joking. ✌️
It's called banter.
Accidentally hurting someone, then deliberately lying about the context of the hurtful statement, for the sole purpose of protecting oneself, rather than just apologizing for the hurtful comment…. THAT’S banter? Boy was my definition wrong!
