Here’s what made me think he might like me:
- He’s getting me a necklace from where he’s vacationing (granted, he asked what souvenir I wanted and I said a necklace would be nice, but he’s been asking a lot of questions on what I’d like)
- He stays up late to talk (even if it’s just us)
- He always takes up my opinion first before anyone else’s in the gc
- If I say i’m going to sleep, he will soon after
- He doesn’t like going to sleep before I do
- He’s the only one in chat that actually reads and responds to my rambles
- He is usually first to try to make me feel better (though he never knows how)
- He has inside jokes with me that he doesn’t with other people
- He once said he was thankful that I was in the gc because it keeps it alive
- He tries hard to remember things about me and usually does (my cultural name, things on my bucket list, my sign, my fears)
- He’s been trying new things because of me (certain food, I got him to watch Soul Eater, play dumb games that I play, etc)
- When he has an idea to hang out, he usually directs his thoughts to me, even if everytime we hang out, it’s as a group
What makes me unsure:
- He gets confused when I compliment him (Ex: Thanks?)
- He once said he’s not interesting in dating a girl he’s never considered as a romantic interest (which, since we’re good friends, might put me on that list of people)
- He’s not romantic, at least not that I’ve picked up (though sometimes he does say something that makes me wonder if that’s even right)
- He’s never talked about past crushes or anything and it isn’t a topic he cares about
- Love in general isn’t a topic he cares to much about, even more so if it’s about himself
- When I asked him if he likes anyone, he went “No” (but it felt weird because it was after he said “I think I could get [a girlfriend] if I wasn’t so nervous about it”)
I don't know, if I should drop it or not. The “No” was a time ago and I don’t know how he would react if I were to ask again.
