Should I be wary of this?

I’m speaking with this guy who lives in the US. He added me as a Facebook friend and we have a few mutual friends, because he is related to some friends I met on holiday years ago. We live in different countries but he messages me every day, and replies to my stories and love heart reacts to my photos too. Since then we’ve kept in contact for just coming up to a year. He often starts the conversation and he writes very long messages, but it’s confusing, does he just want a pen pal? He’s also brought up the topic of me visiting the US and him showing me around the sites and touring round together

Why is he always messaging me even though we live in different countries? Should I be wary?

Don't do long distance.

It's not gonna work.

Also, if he's a white American man, stay away. They're the most entitled, most incompetent, least empathetic people on Earth.

And don't go live in the US. If you're a woman, you're not going to have any rights.

If he wants to date you, HE gets to move (and in my experience, white American men can't understand that they aren't allowed to just up and move countries like they're moving between states - they do not understand immigration, visitor visas, and they can't deal with bureaucracy at all).
