Can a girl and a guy can be just friends?

Oh no, not this question again... people get passionate about this one. So do not crucify me if you disagree.

For me, and I am only talking about me and my opinions not all guys and definitely not every guy thinks or feels this way... but I am pretty average guy and think most guys on average would agree.

I think there are all types of friends in the world so it comes down to what you consider a friend to be. Are they just a person you know or a friendly acquaintance. I mean we have Facebook friends, work friends, gym buddies, family friends, old highschool friends... but are we talking friend as in for real friends?

So I will assume you mean for real friends. so honestly not to many guys are friendly or seek to be around or spend time with a girl unless he is attracted to her. That does not mean he doesn't want to be her friend, but he is or probably would be interested in more.

For me personally I never got close to a women I didn't want to be or would not be intimate with. Once she says that she just wants to be friends, well that means there is a greatly reduced chances that we would ever have sex together... so I usually lose interest after that. So for me I don't even get close to women I am not physically attracted to, and I can't be just friends with a women if there is no possibility for it to be more than just that.

Now for some guys they would rather just be close to a sexy women as a friend then have no contact or interaction at all with sexy women in general. But for real red blooded heterosexuals type guys, no we don't waste much time on women we can not eventually date or have sex with. We might for a time, until something better comes a long.

I personally have only allowed 1 female to be my friend, that I speak to once a month and the only reason we're probably friends, is because she needs my gym membership lol
I've given women my number before, but usually because they need help in some way, once I sense any ulterior motive. I prefer much stop communications.
