My boyfriend has weed addiction and can’t stop?

My boyfriend is an addict and has to smoke once everyday, he tried to stop multiple times but he couldn’t. He said as long as he has money he can’t stop, which I suggested he could send me his money so I can keep it so he won’t buy any but he said he will find a way to buy it anyways. He also said he likely doesn’t care about anybody when he is smoking, he doesn’t care about his family, his girlfriend (me) , not a single human. He just doesn’t get emotional or hurt anymore, he is basically cold hearted when he is smoking. It’s also killing our wonderful relationship , which didn’t start when he was smoking. He just doesn’t care about anything. Did anyone ever succeed with the addiction? If so , how? I really need some help guys. He really wants to stop.

The best thing you can do is walk away. You're not helping him.

He needs to go to therapy. Weed is just a bandaid for his actual issues. by the way I am a casual marijuana user and don't think anything is wrong with using it recreationally but it sounds like he is just using it to cope with life.

Therapy. Maybe even rehab first since therapy won’t work if he is stoned all the time.
