Butts are a "submission zone," much like the throat is to dogs.

This is because every man has taken a shit and noticed it feels real good in a pretty much entirely sexual way. However, we are "maxmizers" when it comes to pleasure and as good as it would feel to get our butts penetrated, the thing that feels orders of magnitude better than that is cumming into a butthole.

And so, there is a hierarchy established. The man taking it in the ass is experiencing less pleasure than the man putting it in his ass, thus the man putting it the other man's ass is "better."

To a guy, having his ass touched or played with stirs all these instincts in a fraction of a moment, before he even gets a chance to consider them consciously, and he takes it (again subconsciously) as someone showing interest in fucking his butthole. But it is also our instinct to not be the lowest on the totem pole. And by the time these two instincts are done doing their thing with our brain chemicals, our conscious thought catches up to realize violence isn't the solution here, which upsets us.
