To me this says that he knows he can’t give you a romantic, loving relationship, so if you want to date other people you are welcome to. Sure it may hurt your feelings, especially if you like him a lot. But now that he is literally telling you that he has no desire to date you (which means you have an answer straight from him), you can either stick around and keep hoping for change, or actually listen to him and walk away. I think it’d be a huge waste of time and only hurt more if you stay.
