He asked if I am married?

A guy I worked with asked if I am married or if my last name is just that. He made it seem like he was asking to know if he should address me by Ms. or Mrs. Is that all it is? Or was he actually wanting to know if I am single because he is interested?

I’d still leave it up in the air for now. You can look for other clues. This one is pretty ambiguous because it really could go either way. True, he could have glanced at your ring finger. But, not everyone wears their wedding bands so he may have asked to make sure. You’ll just have to wait and see what else he does.

I can do that.. there have been many other things that have happened but I always feel that he will do and say things that can be interpreted in many ways. I also feel he does that on purpose too

Got it. That’s a little tricky then. Because that means that even if he IS interested, he doesn’t want you to know. I suppose you’ll just have to wait and see if he makes it more clear when you’re not at work or if you aren’t working together anymore. If he IS interested, perhaps he wants to keep things professional too.

Why do you ask? If you want him, assume that he is interested.
If you don't, assume he isn't.
