Why this guy wants attention despite having so many chicks?

There is a guy whom I like and we are friends kind of. He is handsome and friendly so gets lots of attention from other girls. So i avoid him because i dont want to be one of those chicks. But he constantly says to stop ignoring him and talk to him. Why is this he is doing? Is it kind of ego that i ignore him so he wants it or is it he likes me?

I'm not sure, from what you're saying. He might just be upset because you're friends, and now you're ignoring him. Or maybe he's genuinely interested in you. It's not his fault that he gets a lot of attention from other girls.

When I was in high school, I had a really close guy friend who got a ridiculous amount of attention from other girls, to the point where we would be having a conversation, and other girls would literally come up and start hanging on his arms. He would completely ignore them, because it was so normal to him.

Sometimes he even got mad at the girls, because they wouldn't leave him alone. I never understood their obsession with him, and frankly I don't think he understood it either. I always just saw him as a friend.

But the point is, despite the attention that he got from other girls, there is no denying the fact that he cared about me. Some people try to tell me that he had a crush, I personally think he viewed me like his little sister, but either way the feelings were genuine. He'd go out of his way to spend time with me, often ignoring other people to do so. He made long term commitments to activities that he had no interest in, simply because I asked him to join. At one point he actually risked his life to save mine. (It's a long story).

I don't know the guy that you're talking about personally, but I do know that getting attention from girls doesn't mean that a guy can't have genuine feelings for someone, whether they're romantic or plutonic. Sure, he might just want attention, but he also could be genuinely hurt by the fact that you're pushing him away.

No. Like I said, he was like a brother to me, and I’m pretty sure that he thought of me as a little sister. He was very protective, but I never saw it as anything romantic. He was also really protective of his family (especially his older sister), and a few of his friends.

Some people thought he had a crush, but that’s just because they didn’t believe that guys and girls could genuinely be good friends. I never felt like he was trying to impress me. He would regularly fall asleep in my parents car, and he got freaked out driving over bridges. He wasn’t trying to impress me, so I don’t think he had a crush. And I never tried to impress him either.

I’m not saying that the dude you’re thinking of doesn’t have romantic feelings for you. I’m just saying that the fact he’s upset that you’re pulling away from him doesn’t on it’s own mean that his feelings are romantic.

i am sure i hurt him but then i don't know about is feeling.. he says he missed me but then too he keeps me waiting for his reply though he is online and stuff.. then he said he slept.. today morning he apologized and when i was mad at him he asked u wanna go or sort out becuase i feel we still r good together.. i am flattered. is this some kind of manipulation ?

I guess that’s kind of weird. The guy I was friends with in high school would always answer his phone, anyway. Your dude is giving some mixed signals. I do think he’s probably interested in you though, based on the last part.
