What does it mean when a guy says he has a crush on you, but won't add you on social media?

There's a good chance that he may be shy, does he come off as shy? If so, he might just be intimidated that he admits that to you, and THEN adds you on social media. He might think that It can come off as overwhelming. Im rather shy, but honestly once I admit my attraction to you, I either have already asked for socials, or I would immediately follow up that statement by asking for socials (assuming it went well and/or the feeling is mutual) Though I dont know the context behind this story.

BUT, if you like him back, or the feeling is mutual, why dont YOU add him on social media?

thank you! I am a bit traditional, and kind of think if I add him, it makes me look desperate, I dont know... but, I think he added me, then unfollowed me - so that's weird

Lol the dude sounds NERVOUS. Do him a favor and add him on socials instead. That is of course if you find him attractive. and I dont think it makes a woman look desperate. It shows confidence. but of course that is my opinion, and not the opinion of many.
