What does it mean when a guy says I guess I have a crush on you? Does that mean he doesn't?

Asking for my friend. She is too scared to ask him, so I'm asking on here for her... She told me he kissed her, held her hand, put his arms around her, basically he acted like he liked her romantically. But she's confused because when she asked him if he has a crush on her he said I guess I do. And when she asked what their relationship was, he didn't know what to say... She asked if they were dating and he said I'm not ready to say those words yet... He wants to take her out on a date, and sends her heart texts, but she isn't sure where he stands in this situation. And she wants some opinions about it. I know that you guys don't know him and what he actually feels but thought I'd ask for her anyways. ( Side note: Her mom said he has a crush on her and his mom teased him and said maybe he should take her home)

Oh well it’s common for young people to have misunderstandings like that, cuz when he said I guess I do that comes with an undermeaning like he is trying to sound cool and like confessing to her and it shouldn’t be taken by words trust;secondly the girl acts too rushed like those things do ruin a relationship cuz like you can’t have all the answers in the same time and dating and relationships aren’t like math, they aren’t defined so ofc one will get confused as even the other partner grows anxious and confused and even shy or scared uz like just say we like each other and then comes the sating phase and by then she would have gotten a better insight as their realationship would have progressed constantly while by the very near future when they would be actually dating it would feel notmal and she wouldn’t ecen need to ask, and one can’t know for sure where on stands in a relationship cuz like if takes time and work to build a bond and relationship but the good thing is that the more you invest on that bond the more the bond will reveal your relationship status to you!!
