If yes, maybe he's an insecure guy, thinking that "sex with a purpose" can win you over than mere attempt to have casual vain fuck. He could be real. You may need to ask him.
If he's a lot younger, then I think he's just trying his luck to get into your vagina. I don't think he's serious to enter a relationship.
