We are in middle school, so don’t be weird please.
The other day, I was texting my crush’s friend asking his opinion. I wanted to ask if I should text someone. (I meant casually, and I wanted to reach out to someone who I don’t like but it’s awkward.) He immediately says yes. He jumps to a conclusion that I meant a confession. He wanted me to tell the guy I liked them. I told him I couldn’t because it would ruin the friendship, and he says that the guy most likely likes me. He keeps pressuring me to tell him, so I say who it was. After telling him, he was like “no way.” I asked if there was something wrong and he said that he was just surprised. He made me feel awkward so I told him that I wouldn’t like my crush anymore and that I’ll go back to liking my old crush. He immediately says no. I show a picture of my old crush, and he calls him ugly. He was showing disgust. I told him he wasn’t, and then he starts defending my current crush. He starts saying his friend is hot and that he’s the best. (Saying I should continue liking his friend) then he proceeds to say that we have to get together. I told him there’s no way my crush sees me as anything other than a friend, and he replied, “you never know.” I asked him if he knew anything, and he kept dodging the question. He was making it very obvious he was dodging the question. What does this mean? What’s going on?
