What does it mean when a guy talks to his friends about your crush on him but gets possessive and jealous when you flirt with other guys?

So this guys knows that I have a crush on him and we flirt a lot etc but I realised that he talks to his friends about me and my crush on him. For example whenever him and his friends are around me it kind of feels like his friends are making fun of me and he doesn't trying to stop them like... he's just standing there with them smiling at them with a kind of naughty look.
The thing is that this guy is kind of popular with girls ( or at least he's trying to be). So I don't understand what's the point of having me around... he also gets very possessive when I flirt with other guys but gets extremely happy when he thinks I'm jealous.
I think he wants me to make the first move but I don't know if it's worth it like I don't even think he likes me... what are your thoughts?

They didn't "talk" about exactly about me , they were "impersonating" me when he was around etc...

They literally could have been talking about ANYTHING. Then they happen to see you and they notice you a moment, then they carry on with what they were talking about. If you think guys sit around and talk about shit like that then you are completely clueless.

How do you know he is jealous or possessive? Did he tell you that?

Usually when I am talking with other guys he will try to get my attention by being close to me, he will flirt with his girl friends infront of me or he would try to start a conversation with the guy that I'm talking to... for example I was talking with a guy and my crush basically tried to join in our conversation and almost immediately tried to pull him away from me. Later on the guy that I was talking to told me that my crush was asking him odd questions etc.

Ps: I'm just giving you an advice, it's up to you if you want to accept it or not after all you're a grown man things like this shouldn't worry you...
