He ignores her in front of me, why?

This was some time ago but still bothers me a bit when I think about it.. So here we go: My boyfriend and I, together for a few years at the time, walk into a store. I notice a female customer but don't I don't pay attention. On my way out, my boyfriend tells me it's one of his exes. I ask him why he ignored her, why he didn't say hello to her and why didn't he introduce her to me? He replies that he was uncomfortable doing so. Some time later, I notice that they had already been talking on social networks for a long time, long before having met her in the store. Why did he ignore her in front of me? thanks (Please be kind..)

Okay sooo, I’m going to play both sides…. The fact he did say that she was his ex is a good sign (ish) he really could’ve not told you anything at all… on the other side, the other suspect things that followed up are what makes me believe he and her are more than just friends (possibly) he may confide in her for advice about your relationship (how you feel about that is up to you) what you don’t want to do is give his ex that ego boost of confronting her about what’s going on as she’ll think she still has a chance with him, I’d keep an eye on her she may be conniving

I tried, believe me. There were just no way in finding anything out. I even spoke to her.. she told me they were just friends. I just didn't know what else to do and so.. That is why Im here asking men, I need a man's perspective on this. thank you.

He is just playing it safe. He is probably still seeing her.
