Guys texting or call habits?

A guy I am seeing for more than a year has some strange communication habits. He mainly calls to schedule us to meet. Rarely texts and sometimes out of the blue texts me and we talk for like an hour. That mostly happens very sporadic. He has introduced me to some of his friends and brothers. I am just curious why he would do that? Or if he is just like that! We don’t meet very often just like every week or other week we both have kids and work. I can only meet him every other weekend!

I don't have a clue, if I had a girlfriend I would like to talk to her regularly. Maybe you should ask him
