Guys, why do some of you prefer texting over calling?

Sometimes texting takes less energy

For me anyway, I feel I have to be way more energetic and talkative in calls to make sure the conversation isn't boring. If it's with the right person it could be fun but even then you still gotta make sure they keep having fun, when it comes to texting you have more time to think about what to say and not use as much energy

I guess if it's with someone you like and you get along with them a lot it's not bad and I'd prefer talking, but it's it's someone like a friend or someone you're not into it doesn't seem as appealing

Phone calls are messier cause unplanned words and sounds can get in the way

Texting is more deliberate and it's easier to trip all over yourself when you talk
