Guy's Behavior

Is this insecure guy or I am asshole?

I been talking to this guy for few months now and everything seem great ar first. He would always tell me I look better when my hair was straight and when I would be get upset be like it only preference and constantly ask why I like him. We was dating for not that long. I told him I could not do lDR ( long distance) because of my reasons. He went on to say I knew it and I was sad ofc because I like him then he went to say you should be sad this what you wanted. I said okay with sad tears in my eyes goodnight okay and hung up. He called back I didn't answer because I was upset then he went on to say you are never going to talk to me. An few days, later he text me saying he need something important to talk about when is ready. Then he said right now and I text him I am sorry I am heading to bed because I have to work early then he said okay Nevermind. I feel bad and said sorry. He said nahhh you should be calling when you are heading to sleep in super anrgy tone and proceed to say things will go well for you.
