My coworker and I have been talking recently, and we are totally head over heels for each other, but not yet together. Then, one day we were talking about the man who actually hired me, so he asked me "who is the one who hired you?", so i told him the name. Then, he goes like "this is the biggest mistake he's ever done in his life".
Not even “you know you should” ask him, but you have to. What he said could mean all sorts of things, and I do think maybe you’re worried about asking for one reason or another but you need to be able to speak your mind. Positive comments for us would likely make you hold your tongue or feel like you’re overthinking and negative ones will only reinforce the fact that you need to have a word with him but can bring yourself to address it. Don’t be afraid of losing, and it isn’t confrontational.

I'm a little confused ngl. I think you should just talk to you coworker about it. Its the best way in my opinion.
I don't get what you're asking here.
The simple answer is you should have asked him for clarity at the time
Perhaps he is not as 'head over heels' as you claim.
Why are you not together?
