He considered me as a friend. Is it alright to be a bit touchy with him?

There's a guy who was my classmate. It's been almost a year we have been close to each other. I have even started liking him. But I'm afraid of confessing. I wouldn't have been scared if he hadn't told me that he considered me as a friend and don't bring any kind of feelings between us.
We have graduated from high school this year and after all the entrance exams were over, he asked me to go out with him. And well we did, for two consecutive days. I always think of holding his hand or giving him a hug but I'm kinda afraid to do so. What if it ruins whatever bond we're having now?
Tomorrow again we are going to meet. So i wanted to ask you guys if it's ok to be a bit touchy with him or should I not do that?

Holding hands or giving him a kiss on the cheek and hugging him briefly is not going to ruin a friendship. If this friendship is solid, he will not mind you holding his hand. Holding hands does not mean that you have to be intimate with him but only means that you appreciate him being close to you. It creates a certain bond but does not signify anything deeper.

If you are satisfied just holding hands with him and giving him a quick hug and kiss on the cheek to show how you appreciate his company, by all means do it but let him know in advance in order for him not to be too surprised and pull off. That would definitely leave a wrong impression.

If you are lucky, he will enjoy your hug and even reciprocate it. Good luck.
