So I've been in this friends with benefits arrangement for the past 1 month. Sex was great and we can communicate with each other well. At the beginning, he told me that he would date me if he was slightly taller than me (he's insecure of his height). So we settled with being fwbs. At the same time, I've been contacting someone and decided to go on a date. I told my friends with benefits about the date and he said "oh wow. Im really sad now. That means i dont have a chance... but im happy for you". The other day, he cuddled with me and asked if i like him and said that my presence just makes him feel at peace. I really dont know whats going on his mind if he really likes me or not

We're missing your POV. Why did you get into the situation? For him or for you? It sounds like he does like you but when he said the comment about height is was basically saying that you were not an option for a realtionship. He's letting his insecurities get in the way.
