He is a smoker, alcoholic who loves going to bars and clubs to meet girls. He spends most of his time texting girls and hooking up with them. Or just staying with them for sexual purposes.

Or going out to meet friends for lunch/dinner.

But in front of me, he says things like I'm in my final year, I have to study, I can't be enjoying etc. Basically pretending like a studious guy who is very focused on his work.

He also hides the sleazy lifestyle he leads from me

Why do this? Why pretend to be something he's not?

From your description, it sounds like he's not pretending at all. He's doing what he enjoys doing. You basically know what that is. He seems to be lying because he knows what you want to hear and is giving it to you. It sounds like you don't approve of his lifestyle. Is he hiding that or not sharing something he knows you don't like.
