Why is this guy always lying to me?

• I have a guy friend I’ve known him for a few months now and we used to work together now that we’re good friends he told me he liked me and I told him I did too but he doesn’t wanna have sex til he’s found the right person and he doesn’t want a relationship because of his trust issues and honestly I have the same thing but he wants to like make out and stuff when we hangout by the way we never hung out yet but he already ditched my ass 5 or 6 times and he would lie and make excuses last minute and be like we can’t hangout and then he finally told me a week ago that he was making excuses aka lying because he was insecure about his skin like he was breaking out and I don’t judge anyone based on their looks tbh but I didn’t like the fact he lied about that and now tonight he messaged me that he can’t hangout because he doesn’t have enough gas? Which he works he can get gas lmao and why would he tell me that he wants to hangout only to lie and waste my time I mean he’s nice to me but I don’t trust anyone and him lying isn’t helping should I just cut him off?

That’s why I’m more annoyed I told him he shouldn’t have to lie I’m a good friend and I understand his reasons but just don’t lie and he agrees and then continues to lie again lmao if god forbid we end up married or something I can never trust him knowing he’s a liar for the smallest thing if he can be a liar as a friend what guarantees he won’t in any other of his relationships

You went from friends to being married someday in the blink of an eye lol... I've learned that most for people when they lie about little things, big things, whatever they either feel terrible apologize and never do it again OR come up with some sort of rationalization that it's okay.

Exactly he thinks it’s ok to lie and as someone who got screwed over by a guy I’m in love with recently that’s the last thing I need to have trust issues with a friend it’s sad and frustrating I can’t trust my own friend like why is he scared to tell me the truth

You’re right I just feel bad he’s a good friend who’s there for me in hard times but he keeps making excuses and lying even when I tell him I will never judge him for anything but he still lies

But that’s scary too because he’s a good friend and he’s a nice guy overall it’s just his lying is giving me trust issues with him already lol and he stood me up each time we had plans to hangout because he’s insecure about an acne breakout he’s having and I told him don’t lie to me about it and last night he makes up another excuse like does he really think it’s ok to keep doing that

People Aren’t gonna tell you the Truth they will lie to you for no apparent Reason doesn’t matter what it is.
