Guy's Behavior

Is he bad with his phone, or does he not like me?

Long story short, my friends set me up with a guy (let's call him chris) and I did not like chris very much. about a week later, i caught eyes from one of chris's friends (let's call him jake). jake and i completely hit it off. we only hungout once so far and he was ALL over me. but now he takes hours to answer my texts/snapchats. Jake told me he wanted to mend his relationship with chris first (chris is PISSED) but would this hold him back from talking to me? Also, out of curiousity, i was keeping an eye on his snap score to see if he was just flat out ignoring me... and i'm the only person he has been snapchatting for days!! all my girl friends say he's a really good dude. he seems genuine. but hours to respond? I don't know.
