It basically means don't bother him until he is ready and that could mean never. Basically it means the same thing when a women tells a guy to leave her alone. And when a women tells a man to leave her alone she almost never comes back, and when she does the guy usually is think she wants sex.

So if I was a women and guy told me to leave him alone and then he comes back later... well I would think he's only interest in hooking up.

I know as a man when women tells me to leave her alone... to me that means she's not interested and that's the end of it. I would never consider her as serious relationship material. Now if said that she's not ready for a relationship now maybe later or that she needs some space... maybe later I might be interested in dating her. But if just says leave me alone and that all, well she's kind of a jerk and I would want to date someone like that... but I would have sex with her later if displayed an interest. But I would not contact her ever again... she'd have to contact me and that almost never happens.

Not every guy is the same, you can't ask vague questions like this and expect answers. Who knows how pissed off he was, you're the only person. If he gets over being mad or heard whatever caused him to tell you that then it's a possibility he will come back
