Is it true that girls don't like and do their best to avoid poetic and philosophical guys?

Not at all. I enjoy intellectual conversation and a guy that is interesting like what you describe would be of interest to me. That type of guy is not a turnoff at all. At least, not to me.

Are you that type of guy? If so, to find a girl with similar likes, look around your local area for clubs or activity groups where you will meet the same type of intellectual type people.

That makes it easy to break the ice and start meeting girls that share a similar passions as you do. Bonus is that you get to do something you enjoy while you are at it.

If a girl doesn’t like that type of guy, that’s just simply not the girl for him. Not everyone enjoys the same things and it is all about finding a partner that meshes well with you as a person and your passions. Good luck to you!

I don't mind, I enjoy reading some poetry sometimes. I don't think I have good taste in them, most of the time I'm like "hm meh" but sometimes it sticks with me and I like it. I don't mind someone who's poetic, but note that some cliche romantic poetry won't do anything for me.

Sure there are a lot of woman who don’t like, or understand, or have patients for poetry. It only highlights those who are a good fit for a person and those to avoid.

That is not true at all. I love men that are artistic in some way.
