Guys, what can I do to be taken serious when angry?

I am 5'2 (158 cm) and about 100 pounds (45 kg) female.. and every time I show anger men laugh at me and say I'm cute. Even if I tell them I'm serious they keep going.

What should I do to show them I'm serious? And why would anyone laugh at someone for showing anger? How is that "cute"? I might be small but we can be dangerous too!

I had the same problem. It fucking sucks. But even if you could take them in a fight, that only helps in theory. Not in reality. You're just even angrier and maybe pretty roughed up. I was fucking crazy and I could take anyone at one point in my life, and yknow that was the angriest i've ever been and the most fucked up I've ever gotten was in that period. If you wanna get better you have to be okay with not being taken seriously. Not okay as in "i don't care" but okay as in "i dont wanna waste my breath." Being in a situation with little or no control, there's nowhere for that anger to go, and it can be like an explosion.

You have to learn to feel angry, and just feel it, let it pass through you without taking over and busting you open. It takes practice I think but after a while it does get easier, you CAN be in a situation where you're really REALLY angry, and be "okay" with being unable to really do anything about it. Sometimes you just can't do anything. A lot of the time, you can't do what you WANT to do. But most of the time, you can do something.

You can tell them they're acting like a dick, and why, and what is wrong. They probably still won't take you seriously. Especially if you don't do well under pressure, you can walk away, or disengage. You can take time to cool down by putting the anger in writing, art, yelling, running, punching bag, etc to get it out of your system for a minute. And you can talk to other people about it. You can find people who do take you seriously. Cause the people who don't, are dicks. Period.

Basically. There's not much you can do about dicks. But you can take yourself seriously, and keep your head when you're angry. You can express your anger in healthy ways, and to people who listen, instead of people who mock you. And you can take a lot of the fun out of mocking you by not reacting to it, or by not interacting with those people, anymore. They won't listen.

Being angry got so much easier for me when I stopped hanging around people who egged me on during it. My current friends will actually listen if I'm upset, and when I have gotten really heated they try to talk me down instead of pushing me off the edge. Cause friends—any decent person, really—doesn't enjoy watching people explode like that. Or maybe they just don't realize it's a person in there. Either way they're fucking toxic as hell and don't interact with them for extended periods of time if it's at all avoidable. They are the biggest problem.

It's all about how you act and present yourself when you're angry. Obviously it's a bit different for me as I'm a male (male on male aggression, there's always a threat of violence). But just think about it, if someone laughs at me when I'm angry and I go crazy I look like a child going on a tantrum. I'm the calm and composed type of angry. You won't laugh, and if you do you'll be the one looking stupid.

Honestly just drop the whole tough girl thing and stay calm, you'll notice the difference.

Well one time I was with my male friend in the store and he carried the large bag however this ass who worked their came up to us and said "good that she has someone who helps her" like I'm a child. So I took the bag but he kept holding under as support. This was months ago. I still haven't forgiven him for it. He just laughs when I bring it up.

Or when he was chilling at home all day and I told him I had a really hard day at work he had the audacity to ask me to go buy the store when I get home. I even offered to send him money so he can go himself while I was at work but even then I told him how sick I felt. He just laughed at me..

The first example didn't seem too bad from the male friend perspective.

If I was the female, I'd just say non-chalantly "I don't need the help" and walk away. If in you're situation I would've grabbed the other bag and my male friend would support it like that I would just stop walking and stare at him implying that he shouldn't do that. Once he stops supporting just walk off like normal and never mention it again.

The second example is definetely an asshole thing to do.
However in this case if I was the female I'd probably just say what you said (but wouldn't send any money) and if he laughs I'd just say "I guess no store for your lazy ass today then" in a calm manner.

Don't take offense to this, but you should stop taking yourself so seriously. Get rid of your grudges for things that at the end of the day don't really matter. Stop bringing up these little things to your male friend all the time and make these slight adjustments in your behavior.

Not saying it's inherently your fault, but body language and behavior can have a very strong effect on how other people respond back.

Start training in MMA!!! Trust me, once a man is aware that you're an MMA fighter, they grow a subconscious fear that's always kept at the back of their mind that's always telling them "don't piss this girl off or you'll regret it."


I think you'll find they will stop laughing and start taking you more seriously then.

Not necessarily. MMA works via weight classes, so you'll only train and compete with other people in the same weight class as you.

Personally I still wouldn't be intimidated. Only if they're like pro UFC fighters, like the Amanda Nunes type. Not if they just attend some MMA class. Then again, I've done combat sports myself.

Lol one time I was arguing with my girl friend at the time and she kept turning the stereo full blast trying to get the cops called and finally I said fuck it and threw the stereo down a flight of stairs, I said " keep talking shit and I will cut your tv in half with my chainsaw and I went out and grabbed a old saw that had not ran in 10+ years I was just trying to scare her but I shit you not the fucking thing started on the first pull , I got butterfies in my stomach weird feeling and then I was like fuck it and cut that thing in half got in my truck and left for about a week

Actually no things gof way worse and I ended up walking throght my house with a axe and doing a lot of damage , drugs , stress of my house loosing my house and my job and I drank a lot it really was a shitty time in my life but when i losf everything I met a girl that was way into me and we had a lot of fun once again drugs and that went on for along time im not sure what was better the drugs or the sex but i quit drinking and doing all that shit but for awhile I was burning the candle at both ends but when your young thats what people do good times
