I personally want people's approval because you never know what connections they have. I don't want a door closed on me a year down the line because I didn't defend my reputation.

Possibly. I mean if guy likes you he will 100% want your approval, but if he wants your approval it doesn't necessarily mean he likes you. It's more likely that he likes you than not though
