What does it mean when a guy says he likes you but isn’t sure he wants to date you?

i’ve been talking to this guy for around 7 months now and activity seeing him for 5 months. we’re both busy college students and don’t live close to each other, but still made time go see each other on the weekends. we’ve gone out on plenty of dates and even went to a concert together. when we would hang out, it’d be for 5+ hours at a time every single time. we just really enjoy each other’s company and value the time we spend together. i know that he likes me, he’s said it and the way he is with me it’s very very VERY apparent. but, i still can’t help but feel apprehensive about how he feels about me even tho he’s shown it physically and verbally. i guess the reason i am that was is bc one time when i asked him how he felt about me, he said he liked me but he didn’t think he could be in a relationship with someone he only sees once a week. i did agree with him to some extent bc it is hard seeing the person you like once a week, but still i do wanna try to have an actual relationship with him. like you could probably imagine my confusion bc before and even after this everything we do is as if we are a couple; only this is is that we don’t have a title and aren’t official. i will say we are exclusive, i haven’t been with anyone else while i’ve been talking to him and same goes for him. so yeah that about sums it up, not really sure what i’m looking to get out of writing this, but i just wanted to put this down somewhere and get someone else take on it!
