Why would a guy say he's interested but only text every few days and not reply when he's online?

Here is a concept that may be alien to a few of you, but the reason why he is not responding could be due to the fact that he is working. Some guys have these things called "Jobs", this is where they earn money. And while at these jobs, they don't exactly have a lot of free time, after all their employer is kind of expecting them to do work and not sit around sending out messages. Just because you see them logged on, does not mean that they are actually available to send out messages, they could have just logged in long enough to check some messages and had to get back to work. And he sends out messages when he can. Also, some of these programs like to show someone as being online when they actually have been offline for some time.

Lastly, ladies, their are a few of you out there that seem to think that once you send out a message, you should get one back right away. In fact I have seen many of you panic if you don't get a response within moments of you sending out a message. Most guys are not glued to their phones, give them a chance to respond. But, if it goes over a week and they have not gotten back to you, then you are more than likely being ghosted.

To me it sounds more like he might not be that interested. I don't know if he doesn't want to hurt your feelings or wants to string you along just if he doesn't find something else.

But if there is little to no communication then there is really no hope for anything to progress.

if a guy was very interested he would definitely be reaching out to you as I've learned throughout life. or he is a womanizer and doesn't want a relationship with 1 girl

It’s possible he just doesn’t like texting, many people don’t. I personally prefer speaking in person especially if it’s someone I’m interested in because you are able to see how the other person reacts to certain things. Especially when flirting texting can be tough because voice tone and inflection gives a lot of context that you lose in text messages.

Maybe he wants to make sure that he has something to talk about when he sees you in person.

The biggest mistake people make is assuming when someone is online, he's actually active on the app.

Apps like Whatsapp and Telegram also have a Web-version. When you log in, the app shows you being Online. Even though you only were logged in, but doing something else in the meantime on your pc/laptop.

Im the kind of guy that did put effort in when i said i was interested. Everytime it ends with me in the friendzone. This guy must have had the same experience. We stop. chasing after too. many failed attempts. He probably does like u. But doesn't wanna risk you losing interest
