Well, there's two sides to that equation, right? We have a society that has destroyed men's senses of identity, taken away their heroes, and villified masculinity; so the healthy masculine values really aren't being taught or reinforced in young men. And then on the other side, we have a group of women that are very comfortable being disrespectful to men. So we have a situation where a group of people aren't really being taught how to act in the first place, and then wondering why they aren't then rising to the occasion to support another group of people who feels like they have the right to belittle and antagonize them for not knowing what they were never taught.
