Hi, thank you so much everyone but I guess teasing here has been interpreted as flirtatious, but by teasing I meant hitting them (not hitting on them) , jokingly criticizing them and calling them names ( just like what we do with close friends) , although he has deeper conversations with me than with others. But then again , I think that's just because I am the most available

So hey everyone once again, I just wanted to tell you that I ended up confessing to that friend and he said that he liked me back too ( but he isn't serious) , so I guess the reason all along was that he respected me and didn't want to be silly around me.

If it is the flirty teasing, it may be because he is into her. If he just views you as a good friend and this "mutual" friend is different as far as their relationship, he may just be flirting.

Again, hard to say without some context, but that would be my first guess. Is it bothering you? Sounds like from the limited details, you might have a thing for your guy friend. Maybe you are just too good of friends for him to look at you as dating potential.

It may not be the worst thing though. Look at it this way, if you end up dating the guy and things don't work out, you could not only lose a boyfriend but the friendship.

It isn't the flirty type but a friendly platonic type like calling them names or hitting them on the back of their head. I think I share a more understanding relationship with him than any of them but sometimes I wonder if it's just an illusion due to the fact that I am available for him

There is one girl A that he constantly roasts and hits while there is another girl B that everyone suspects him to have a crush on. But, recently, him and I were having a discussion where he called B dumb and also one who tries to fake it up.

This might sound counter intuitive but how many friends is he teasing? Because If he's just a natural flirt it could actually be a good thing because it might be that he singleing you out because has to think harder about his response to you to try to impress, and it shuts off the charisma. There is definitely a possibility he just isn't interested but just something to keep in mind.

If it's playful, flirty teasing that's his way of indirectly showing interest in them. But if he doesn't do that with you? He just sees you as a friend. If you're okay just being his friend? Awesome.
But if you like him, you need to show or tell him you like him (though as I said, if he's not interested in you, there's not much you can do to change his feelings).
