Why will my best guy friend compare me to his girlfriend?

i am confused that my best guy friend says that I am like his girlfriend when we have nothing in common. when I asked me why he said that. he answered that you girls are the two girls that I like the most. what is that suppose to mean?

i mean I am the complete opposite of his girlfriend. I am reserved and she is not. I know him for past 3 years and we are just friend. he has dated her on and off for the past 2 years. how can we be alike? Is it his imagination playing him? or is he in love with 2 girls at the same time? please answer back. any advice will be appreciated. thanks.

To me, it sounds like he is in love with 2 girls. if you two are different like you said, maybe he wants the complete package.did he ever tell you he likes you? hope this helps.

i sent him a message for everyone to see. he replied and then sent a message to his g-friend that he loves her. it is odd since he is not an affectionate guy. I think they are unsecure but he says do not over think about my relation. what is he hidding?

You really won't know unless he feels comfortable enough to tell you. Don't think so much and just be his friend. He compares you two because you are probably the two most important people in his life. Just go with the flow and if one day he comes out and tells you he loves you then you need to figure out if you love him. Right now that door isn't opened.

Thanks for your advice. he told me that writing on his girlfriend wall has nothing to do with me. he has been acting up. I wanted to go out this week, so he says that he is too busy when I know that he is not really. he says to go next week, but I will tell him that I am not free anymore to go out. what do you think of that?

Once in a while if you feel he's getting too close then say you're busy, but don't start changing things and making it obvious. if you want try talking to his girlfriend but not directly about this situation, it's usually hard to make friends with your best friends girlfriend so it'll only work if you're really lucky.

Ok. thanks for the advice. actually, he always get closer to me when they break up. I will take your advice and say that I am busy. I am not friend to the girlfriend because he said things about her that make me realize who she is. I cannot be friend with such a girl but she wants to be my friend dor whatever reason. she is kind of nut.

Well aren't we all in one way or another? but some are extreme, that is true. he might be getting closer when they break up because he's used to having somebody and you are the one that is a constant in his life so he turns to you.

he's in love with 2 girls...since he brought it up and you didn't react outwardly, you have opened a door for him to make a move on you if he breaks up again with the other girl...beware of the rebound
