If one takes criminal statistics, the vast majority of reported crimes are perpetrated by men.
A quick glance at the 2012 FBI statistics shows that out of the 9,446,660 offenses, 6,972,023 were perpetrated by men while 2,474,637 by women. That gives a ratio of 73.8% males vs. 26.2% females or almost 3 to 1.
That ratio is probably also applicable to toxicity of people. One could reasonably assume that for every 1 toxic female, there are 3 toxic males.
Now, as to why it is like that, I would say it lies in the genes and DNA of the humans. Men are by nature more violent because they have always been the ones that were hunting for food and had to kill to survive. Since the dawn of mankind, men were the providers and had to do things that we now find reprehensible.
One cannot get rid of thousands of years of behaviors in just a few weeks. Those behaviors are anchored in the human genes for probably another few million years.
Because toxic male behavior is just the extreme of normal male behavior. Because guys are often stronger there behavior can hit worse. In many cases guys over-do their "normal" intinuitive behavior so it´s seen as toxic by either women or society. Like a rapist misuses a normal behavior, sexual intercourse, as an instrument of power to gain happiness no matter what his partner in his sex feels or thinks about it. The same way many toxic male behavior traits could be explained. The reason they do it can´t be generalized in my view either they think it´s what a man does or they generally have a harder time figuring out how people feel about their behavior and they care less about them.
Basically for you to study and understand that they are not the person for you they're in this world to show us who we don't want to be with especially girls it's all for you guys when you see a guy like that just walk away a lot of people don't understand like when a guy cheats the girls hurt she wants to take them back but in all reality the guy is trying to teach her that he is not the person for her when a guy does anything bad is sure your heart might be broken but at the same time you have to be happy because they're trying to teach you that they are not the person for you
And I think these things are not really classifiable by gender. There are loads of reasons why a person, male or female will mistreat another person. Maybe in your perception, more men in your life habe been douchebags than women have, but it may not always be the case. Things are different on a case by case basis. Either way, we can learn and weed out those unwanted behaviours from our own character and look out for that in future relationships and friendships.
And even if your projection is statistically correct, There are tons of unreported cases which will sway the proportions if they are included.
But what is most important is that the victims, both male and female, should be able to ge the help and support they need, without getting judged. Too bad this is something that is far from accomplished.
I’m not the type to flip a question back around but remember when people said chivalry is dead well men do what we do for female attention and from female behavior we have deduced that you girls will fuck toxic men yet want to be in serious relationships with good men
here is where the problem comes in MEN WANT TO FUCK and unfortunately all of us aren’t super studs who can depend solely on our looks we are toxic because it gets us laid
bottom line is as long as women keep responding to toxic male behavior by giving access to their bodies we will continue to be toxic

Guys don’t do worse things, men are simply shamed and attacked more for what we do than women are.
Female sexual aggression is excused and considered “empowering”
Female mental illness is seen as an issue that needs help, not a problem with the person themselves.
Females who kill are seen as victims of either men or chemical imbalance, or mental illness.
Females who rape are excused for the most part, especially when the person is under age.
Females who cheat are usually able to blame the male she cheated on for her actions or the guy she fucked for “manipulating her”
