Guys, Why do guys show pics of their ex?

I asked a dude if he wanted to have sex, and he rejected me nicely. One week later he talks about his past relationships, and ex girlfriends who are completely different to me physically speaking. What does it mean? Does he see me as a friend? Is he just showing off? Is he trying to make "a point" of why he doesn't like me or making a point of why he rejected me?

I think they’re trying to compare you to her or something when they had their good times with the x. Maybe they want that with you the good times fun activities of his past now wanting to do that with you.
