Why do guys send pics of themselves?

I'm not talking about snapchat lol. I'm talking about just on messenger or on text. I never send pictures on messenger, yet some guys like to send me mirror selfies. What's up with that?

Probably trying to make you attracted to them or trying to impress you, if it's a good picture. Or they want you to send a pic back and they think that's the way to do it. Or they want your attention in general.
