So my ex and I met both at probably not so great times of our life. We are both a little codependent and drank a lot when we first met. As we spent more time together we were bound to see each other sober more than the beginning and this is when things would be thrown off. Like there was a blockage when we were sober but it wasn’t there when we were drunk.
He hasn’t left me alone since he broke up with me. He said he got cold feet bc I got attached too fast. Anyway he’s finally at a point where he can’t drink bc he got a Bui. I saw him for the first time in 6 months and we are both physically attracted and care for each other but it seems to be something missing. And I think we have such hidden parts of ourselves and it’s hard for us to be open with each other when sober. So I’m trying to figure out if we just don’t have chemistry or if it’s just covered up bc it’s like weird to be around each other sober. But it would explain why he can’t leave me alone. Sometimes I think it’s just for sex but part of me feels he cares but there’s a blockage in his end too.
Should I be honest with him and tell him that I’ve drank a lot because it’s hard for me to be vulnerable and comfortable when sober?
