Why would a girl still hang out with and hook up with a guy after they broke up?

Breakups can be complicated, and personally I believe that when a woman is still carrying on with a guy the same way she was when they were together even though they broke up, it’s most likely she’s hopeful of reconciliation. It also doesn’t help if the ex is manipulative or a user, and strings her along giving her hope all while knowing that he doesn’t want her back specifically or just doesn’t want a relationship in general. I could agree that a woman doing this shows a lack of self respect, but also the inability to see her own worth and that she deserves more.

I was dating a guy who just broke up with his ex like the day we met and she continued hanging out with him still. Then came after me on fb saying how disgusting it is and she was still sleeping with him and everything. Then said shit to me about my age and how I’m too young and she’s surprised he took me to really expensive restaurants.

Yeah, she was probably hoping they’d get back together and lord knows what he was saying to her to keep that going. Still, it wasn’t right for her to go after you. I think that’s the mistake some women make, they direct their anger at the woman her boyfriend left her for, when he’s the one that did her wrong.

Exactly. It got passive aggressive and unproductive. Like honestly after me and this guy dated I just blocked him and moved on with life.

She also gave him a hard time about why he took me to really nice places so early on. One place he spent like $400 on the dinner. Like, I don't know why she cares.

Well I started dating a guy and we weren’t exclusive yet but he was still using his ex for sex (since I wasn’t putting out yet) and courting me on nice dates. Eventually we had sex. And this bitch messages me on fb and tells me she dated this guy before me and was booking up with him and didn’t use condoms because she didn’t think he was dating anyone else. How delusional!
