He'd be crazy if he responded to your flirtatious text in any way.

Most companies would fire him for inappropriate behavior with a subordinate and they'd be right to do so. You could easily sue for damages because of the hostile work environment he fostered.

If you're going to flirt, do it in person so both of you can gauge non-verbal cues.
