Do boys get as self-conscious as girls when in swimwear etc?

We've started doing swimming in school boys and girls together. To protect our privacy theyve let girls wear shorts and surf tops over our costumes if we want. But boys can only wear swim shorts. Do you think the boys are shy about this, specially as we are checking out their bodies when they have to take their shirts off? It seems a bit unfair. Lots of girls would feel very shy if it was the other way around.

It actually depends on the guy. If the guy is shy he will try to hide himself but if the guy is bold and outgoing he wouldn't care enough. Also it depends on the shape and boy type of the guy. I guy who is in great shape, works out regularly is fit, or has abs and no lose fats on their body are more likely to be cool and won't try to hide themselves. If a guy wants to feel superior with his looks he might also purposely lex himself. But a shy boy despite if he is in proper shape and having an athelete body might not be comfortable and will try to hide himself. So even though there are many factors to it, it has mostly to do what is the nature of that guy.

Maybe a few worry about you seeing them shirtless but obviously they're covering up a lot more so it's never really comparable
