I don’t feel weird wearing it but I do not like being stared at and it’s just impossible to wear a bikini and not get stares I don’t mean good or bad just stares. I think it is an automatic response to seeing skin. 🤷🏻‍♀️ so I tend to not wear them in public or around anyone at all, but def wear them by myself. They just feel too intimate not bc of how I feel but I just don’t hunk out society can handle exposure no matter how mature someone is. Might be diff in Warner climates but I live in a cold climate.

I’m not self conscious about the way I look in a bikini, but I do worry about them falling off. I have a few that are secure enough that I wear them in public sometimes, but mostly I wear one pieces, also because of the sun. I am very pale. I burn very easily. I wear lots of sunscreen, which is not only a pain to put on, but is also very expensive. Because I’m picky about the products I use.

Basically, the bikinis are just for indoor pools, or swimming at night. And most bikinis are just for when I’m with friends, because they might fall off, but I’ll wear the more secure ones in public, provided the sun conditions are met.

As a guy I am really not qualified to share my opinion. Since I am here some women have more confidence than others either way the simple fact is women are damn sexy in whatever they choose to wear. If you want to dress conservative then go for it and guys will appreciate it. If your are confident then wear a skimpy bikini modern, old, tiny or porno style what ever you feel the most comfortable in and yes guys will appreciate you just being there hopefully for more than just your body. But that's another story for another time. I will now get off my soapbox and go get a Margherita.

In my line of work I'm naked or semi-naked in front of crowds of complete strangers 3 to 4 nights a week, so whatever barrier I had between myself and being comfortable in my skin regardless of setting has been smashed to pieces a long time ago.

Wearing skimpy bathing suits don't bother me at all. In fact, whenever me and my boyfriend go to some of the nearby lakes I would often wear thong bikinis.

I am not myself, even if someone says something, like I don't care what you think... you have the freedom to not look.

Only time I am is nothing to do with my body, and everything to do with this suit is ugly or uncomfortable.

Before my BR four years ago I would only ever wear a one piece bathing suit/costume... Now "The World Is My Oyster" and although it took me some time in building up the confidence (being mindful of the scars) I'm definitely more happy in wearing a bikini.

I'm not, not at all. My body look good so I have no problem at all being in a bathing suit all day, I even walk around the beach town only in my bikini (cause salt is bad for the clothes I rather just stay in my bikini), lots of people do it and even if they don't I really don't care at all.

I have known some women to be very self-conscious in a bathing suit, bikini or one-piece. Most had self-confidence issues anyway. I've also known women who are very confident in a bikini.
