Insecurities are not a big handicap in a relation because they indicate that the person is just another human being like you and me.

Insecurities are part of life because nobody can be secure about everything in life. I have insecurities but that does not make me worse than my neighbor or someone that pretends not to have any.

By pretending not to have insecurities, a person only confirms that he/she actually does have some because everyone does have some at a stage of life or another. One could have insecurities about the outcome of a surgery or whether your newborn will be healthy or not.
