Where a woman places her attention is extremely revealing, more so than a man. Women in general get approached/cat called, far more than men. So it becomes a no brainer that most women would ignore men in general. So when a woman gives a man attention, there's usually some underlying attraction going on. He probably sensed this.

Even if you aren't attracted to your ex anymore, the very fact that you're showing other men attention is a danger sign to clued up men who are looking for serious relationships.

There's something about the interaction between you and the guy that he didn't like.

There's a thing about men that women have to realise, Especially when dealing with quality, confident men.

Quality men do not expect you to have male friends outside of business dealings. There's really no purpose or point to it. You just have to stay away. I believe this is why the Muslim women covers up completely. So that no man can recognise her for general convo which could be interpreted by onlookers as "flirting".

Whenever a female acquaintance of mine reveals she has a boyfriend, I cut her off out of my life. They're usually shocked at the speed at which I do this, but I do so out of respect for her relationship. I know me presence will cause issues. It's my way of respecting other man.

But to conclude. I asked you what does the friend mean to you and you said 'nothing'. So then why would you spend any time of day, huggiing and conversing with NOTHING. A lady doesn't go around hugging guys just because she knew they when she was 7. I know from a female point of view this is a strange concept because women can talk for hours about nothing. But men are more logical and pragmatic.

Ergo, if there's 'nothing' in a room, then there's nothing to notice. If you notice someone in a room, then there's clearly 'something' or someone there. That's the male brain.

If you want a man to respect your nature as a woman, you have to respect his nature as a man and the things that set his testosterone ablaze.
