Why My Male friend acted faulty?

We where friends for over 3 months , we work together than all of sudden he says we can't be friends because he got a girlfriend and its disrespectful. We can only be work colleague So I agreed and walked away from our friendship but 3 days later some other guy asked him if his single and he said yeah. The guy tried to fix his daughter. I am hurt that he lied and never respected our friendship. How do I behave with him at work. Everytime I see him it makes me upset. It makes me feel like something was wrong with me.

Honestly I get where he is coming from in a stance of if he ever wants a girlfriend. I just had to cut a guy friend off because if I ever wanted a relationship, it would just be an overall extremely weird friendship to have at that point. I don’t agree with the fact that he lied to you, but honestly I think you should take it as it is and maybe just don’t give him any attention. Move on from it, but if you ever clash during work, just be respectful

He’s doing the right thing as all guys have to do that when opposing sex gets s boy/girlfriend.

I do understand that and I respect that as a woman i will also want my guy to be loyal but u never read it full when he broke our friendship he said he was dating someone but days later someone asked him and he said he was single so why lie to me
