My guy friend likes me but I don’t, though he knows that I do not return the same feeling. He even confessed me indirectly at one point. He get jealous and want my attention. He also told me that he’s having a hard time sleeping because he likes someone and I know that it was me but he doesn’t want to tell me directly in the sense of which he wanted to hear it from me instead. He even told 2 of my closest friends indirectly. He’s always acting miserable too. I was thinking that I should ask him directly about it. So, should I? Can you give me advice? It is always best to clear things as they happen in order to avoid confusion and problems.

If you do not reciprocate his feelings, then you can tell him something like

"I appreciate that you like me and it makes me feel special. However, you must realize that those feelings are seldom reciprocated and I do not have similar feelings for you, I hope you can understand".

If you let yourself pressured into feelings that you don't have naturally, it is not a good idea to want to force them at all cost because it is only going to make you miserable.

Of course, it may hurt the guy's feelings but it is still best to be upfront and honest rather than to try to wiggle your way out with lies and giving false hopes. Good luck.

Yes I’ve never gave him hopes and he knows I do not return the same feelings, however he still try to ask for attention which I tried to avoid because I know it’s going to be really toxic if I play along. But when I don’t give him attention, he went and be gloomy about it. He wants me to address his feeling for me I supposed, so I think I will do just that, addressing it Thank you :(
